Best Cheap Earbuds of 2016

Sometimes we have to create a strict budget for everything because our money is short, sometimes we need to give up on luxuries like an expensive earbud or a new electronic device. However, if you are looking for an earbud, there are plenty of alternatives to high priced items.

A cheap earbud has limits to what it can offer, for example, you won’t find an extensive list of accessories on a cheap model. Sometimes you will find a wide range of ear tips and no carrying case and sometimes you will find a carrying case but just a few ear tips. The point is, you can’t have it all. You need to be able to decide what is your priorities and search for models that fit your needs and budget. It can be a hard task to choose this alone, but today I am here to help you with that.

Here are a few details you should be looking for when shopping for earbuds:

Durability: It is very important that the model you choose will be able to resist a few scratches and punches. No one wants to buy a cheap earbud only to replace it weeks later.

Sound: well, this a no brainer, the sound on your model should at least be clear.

Comfort: if you will be doing exercises with your earbud, it’s imperative that some level of comfort is present.

Now, here’s the list of the best cheap earbuds of 2016

SoundMagic E10

Durability: The Soundmagic e10 features a strong metal case to ensure that you won’t be able to break it easily. This detail alone is well worth the price it cost, however, the Soundmagic e10 has a lot more to offer.

Sound: If you saw my review on the Soundmagic e80, you will understand when I say that for this price you won’t find a better sound anywhere. It is simply amazing, check my review on the e80 for more details, they are different models but the sound is almost the same.

Comfort: The Soundmagic e10 features a wide range of ear tips for all shapes and sizes, you will find comply foam tips, silicone, and double flange. Like I said before, if you want comfort, pick a silicone ear tip size that fits well and be happy.

Mee Audio M7P

Durability: The perfect combination for a sports earbud: detachable cables and water resistant construction with liquipel protection. Also, the rugged construction will ensure that you will enjoy these for a long time.

Sound: If you are a fan of vocals, you will be delighted with this earbud, the vocal presentation is awesome for the price.

Comfort: I’ve said before that the “Over the ear” design some earbuds adopt is my personal favorite way to use earbuds. Not only it will stay in place but the comfort is great as well. The m7p has a native “over the ear” design making it very comfortable to use.

Sennheiser CX 300 II

Durability: It might not appear at first sight, but the CX 300 II is quite resistant. Counting that you won’t step on it or expose it to water, you will have your earbud for a long time. On top of that, you have a 2-year warranty on it.

Sound: With a bass driven signature, the Sennheiser CX 300 is definitely for those who love bass. Mids and highs are also good, but nothing compared to the bass boosted quality here. If you value vocals more, consider purchasing the Soundmagic E10 or Mee audio m7p.

Comfort: The design of this model is naturally comfortable to use, and it comes with 3 pairs of silicone ear tips (S,M,L).

Photive PH-BTE70

Durability: Rugged construction and sweat proof, everything you would ask for on a Bluetooth earbud at this price.

Sound: Clear sound and a great bass quality, definitely for bass heavy song lovers.

Comfort: If you don’t mind the ear hooks, this can be really comfortable and improve your fit while you do your exercises. You can almost forget you have them on because it is so much lightweight.

Panasonic ErgoFit

Durability: This is by far the cheapest model on this list, and while it is good in other aspects, the durability lacks a little bit. It is made of plastic and the cables are thin, I would give it 6 months of life maybe 1 year with good care.

Sound: The sound is good, nothing compared to the other models on this list, but it gets the job done better than stock earbuds for sure.

Comfort: The small housing contributes a lot to the comfort, but unfortunately only one extra pair of ear tips are available, however, for this price, we can’t ask for too much.
