Bose SoundTrue Ultra Review

Today I’ll be making a review about the Bose SoundTrue Ultra, a nice option if you want a premium in-ear headphone for your day to day use.

The sound here is pretty natural, well-defined lows and clear highs alongside a nice bass, provide an immersion feeling only found in premiums out there. Despite the good quality bass, it is not the strongest factor here, what really gets your attention is the balance that is not easily found in similar models and the great vocals that sound amazing.

The Bose SoundTrue ultra was made very different from the Bose SoundSport. The SoundSport as I explained in my review, “sits” outside your ear canal, while the SoundTrue behaves like a normal in-ear and goes into your ear canal. I personally prefer this method, since it naturally isolates external sound and enhances your “immersion” in the music.

It also has a symmetrical cable, microphone, a 3 button inline remote, and the connector is not L shaped. For me, this is a problem, as it makes easier to break the cord.

Comfort and Fit

As I said, the Bose SoundTrue is a “True” in-ear, providing an excellent fit, isolating some external sounds and the soft silicon ear tips are really comfortable to wear for hours without hurting your ears. And the tips come in 3 sizes, so you can pick the one that fits best.

I don’t recommend this model for exercises, though. I do recommend the SoundSport or the BackBeat FIT for working out.

Be aware that there are two versions. One for android devices and another for apple devices. While they are almost identical if you don’t choose the right one, you may suffer compatibility issues. There are also two colors available to you: charcoal and frost (black or white).

Pros and Cons

  • Clear and Balanced Sound
  • Microphone and inline remote
  • Nice fit and Good isolation

  • Not an L-shaped connector

My Rating: 9 out of 10
