Photive PH-BTE70 Review

Weeks ago we released the top 5 Bluetooth earbuds of 2016, and while that list is what I consider the best, a lot of great models were left behind, so, throughout this month I want to give these models a look and let you know of some other options you have when it comes to Bluetooth earbuds.
Today I’ll be talking about the Photive PH-BTE70, a good option for those on a budget. Let’s take a look.

Photive PH-BTE70 Review

Photive PH-BTE70 – Sound

I’ve said this before and I have to say it again, the sound is not directly correlated with the price of an earbud, but we have to take into consideration that there are limits and there is no comparison between a 50 model and a 300 model. With this in mind, despite being a Bluetooth earbud, the sound is great for the price delivering a nice bass with a wide punch. Whenever you hear Aptx technology on a device, you can expect a clear sound. Alongside the Bluetooth 4.1 this is one of the best sounding earbuds around 40 dollars.

Photive PH-BTE70 Review
Weeks ago I said how bad the ear hooks of the Powerbeats were, uncomfortable and unnecessary. With the Photive PH-BTE70 it’s not only comfortable but you’ll almost forget they are there. Photive says it helps stabilize the ear tips and keep it firmly anchored in your ears. I’ve said before that it is unnecessary these ear hooks, but in this case, it’s ok because you won’t notice them even when doing exercises.
The PH-BTE70 is also sweat proof, providing safety while you are on your exercises.

  • Comfortable ear hooks
  • Sweat proof

Conclusion

My rating: 8.5 out of 10

The Photive PH-BTE70 is not a perfect earbud. I would consider it a standard solution, Great for a quick and cheap replacement for those on a budget, it certainly won’t disappoint those looking for a simple and cheap Bluetooth earbud.
