Sennheiser CX 300 II Precision Enhanced Bass Earbuds Black Review

Hello folks, today I will be making a review about the Sennheiser CX 300 II Precision Enhanced Bass Earbuds. (Yes, All of that!)

Great quality for a low price

First thing I want to say is that if you have one of those low-quality headphones that come with your smartphone and seek an upgrade, this is a great choice. A cheap in-ear headphone that delivers a great sound quality for the price. I had one of these myself, and I can say, it’s well worth the price.
One of the things I liked about it,is the bass-driven sound, that makes you feel immersed in the music you are listening,  a quality that you rarely find for such a price. I didn’t test in all music styles, but they sound excellent with rock and jazz.

It might not appear at first sight, but the CX 300 II is quite resistant. Counting that you won’t step on it or expose it to water, you will have your headphone for quite a long time. However, if you are insecure, you have a 2 year warranty on this product.

Comfort and Fit

Included with the package, you receive three sizes of ear tips,(Small,Medium and Large) for you to choose the best fit, providing a nice fit and comfort.

The CX 300 II has an asymmetrical 1.2 m cable. What does that mean?

Basically, the right side is longer than the left side. The longer side goes behind your neck, into your right ear, and the shorter side directly in your left ear. This design keeps the cord out of your way, around your neck. This is way better if you like running with your headphones or just walking on the street. it looks better and if you take them out of your ears they will just rest on your shoulders instead of dropping to the ground.

The symmetrical design is what we are used to, just like a “Y”, both sides have the same length and the cord stays in front of you and this can be annoying sometimes. Which is why I prefer the asymmetrical design.

Pros and Cons

  •  Awesome sound for the price
  •  Resistant
  • Asymmetrical design
  • Comfortable

  • Lack of a volume control

My Rating: 9,5 out of 10

For those seeking an upgrade from your standard earbuds, the Sennheiser CX 300 II is a great choice. An awesome value for the price if you are looking for a cheap but good quality headphone. Included in the package is a carrying pouch for transportation.

  1. Hello Paulo,
thanks for the good review about the Sennheiser CX 300 II. I like the asymmetrical design too, because it is more comfortable, if I use only one speaker and listen with the other ear to the environment.
How compares the Sennheiser CX300 II with other in ear headphones in the same price range?

    1. Hello Bernd, thanks for the comment, i appreciate it. Answering your question, i think the cx 300 II is one of the best in this $50 – $30 price range, but there are other great choices like the Shure SE112 that is exactly the same price and worth checking out.
